This product contains a PowerPoint with 31 slides. The first slide has 30 question marks. When a question mark is clicked, it goes to a random graph. Students examine the graph and decide if the graph is a function or not. After discussing, they can click on the blue “Answer” button and the graph will be identified as a “function” or “not a function”. If the answer is “not a function”, a straight vertical line will also pass down through the graph, indicating why it is not a function. When the a

There are 32 task cards in this worksheet. I strongly recommend laminating the printed pages before cutting them out first, so they can be used time and again. All answers are on an answer sheet provided at the end of the task cards. The task cards are labeled “1" to “32”. Some questions have two solutions, and some have only one solution. Hence, it is a good idea to ask students to check their answers. The questions range from middle of the road difficulty to quite challenging. PLEASE NOTE: t

There is nothing very special about this material, hence I am giving it for free. My students love study cards. This is basically a set of differentiation and integration formulae put on a word document in study card format. There are 9 study cards on a sheet: 5 with differentiation formulae, and 4 with integration formulae. I normally cut them out and laminate them, but you can also just cut them out and hand them to the students directly. Please don't rate it too hard in terms of creativi

Experience

12 years teaching Math at a variety of levels (Primary to grade 12 including Pre-Calc, Algebra I and II, IGCSE, A-Levels, SAT I and II, GCSE, O-levels etc), Chemistry AP; A - level, and SAT II, Physics, Bio AP and Bio SAT. Primary English, primary science, English ESL, English as a language. Have taught higher and lower level in my subject areas to young and old advanced.

Teaching style

I like to challenge the students and create activities that make them scratch their heads and have to think about a topic or situation. I try to make each topic as applicable to everyday examples as I can. Being able to regurgitate information is one thing, but I like to see students thinking outside the box.

My own education history

Bachelor or science Education (Honours), Taught masters in Software localisation.

Additional biographical information

I come from Ireland, but have lived and worked in an environment that is mostly concerned with American curriculum or British curriculum, in that time teaching mainly Math and the three Sciences (chemistry, physics and biology, as well as ecology and environmental science etc) and English as a language.
