Students will work in groups to solve ten word problems about the Titanic. You can make this into a race to see which group solves the problems and builds their puzzle first. They will receive one problem at a time. Each time they finish a problem they must hand it to the teacher. If the problem is correct they will receive a new problem and a puzzle piece. Fun Math: Place a “Station Card” at each table. The students will rotate around the room to the six tables and answer the questions. Students will solve problems that involve basic math skills.
