The following pages are phonics coding practice for the cvc pattern, inflection ‘s’ ending, floss rule, open vowels and some blends. (To be used in conjunction with Saxon phonics’ rules of coding.) Worksheet for the word of the week. I do the word of the week lexicon on chart paper a part at a time during the week. ex: Mondays we talk about word and definition plus count vowels and consonants. Tue. we move on the fact family using numbers in vowels, consonants and total letter boxes, etc. On Fridays my students get their own lexicon to fill in with what we've learned that week. Great math concept review and phonemic awareness practice.
