This product was made to use with Texas 4th graders. As a teacher one of the things we are always limited on is time!! So I created this as a 10 day STAAR READINESS Review strategy that should take 15-20 minutes. All the questions hit the 13 Readiness standards of 4th graders. This resource is a 24 task card activity complete with a recording sheet and answer key. I made this activity to model 3.5E with only addition and subtraction to scaffold instruction. The questions start off easy and then progress to harder more wordier questions. This is a 24 question task card activity with recording sheet that focuses around 3.5E. All questions are with verbal descriptions and are STAAR level. I have incorporated addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division along with STAAR vocabulary with such words as more than, less than, fewer, etc. I hope you like my product.

This is a 20 question activity that focuses on 4.5B according to Texas STAAR standards. I have one question per sheet because of the tables and students being able to read the tables without having to squint. You can do these 20 questions as a gallery walk or as task cards. This activity is similar to 'chutes and ladders'. You are given a snakes and ladders game board and 30 question task cards. Students take turns flipping a question card and answering. If they get the question correct they get to move the number of spots indicated on the card. But watch out if you land on a snake you must slide down. First to the end wins :) All questions are modeled after the released STAAR questions 4.2G

This is a 20 question task card activity. It is 10 questions where the students must identify the strip diagram and 10 questions where students must identify the expression. I wrote this activity to align to Texas State Standard 4.5A

This game is designed to teach the 4th grade STAAR TEK (4.5B) that deals with input output tables and the position in sequence. I designed the questions to mirror that which are found on the STAAR test. Hope you like it :)

This activity is designed to help students understand how to create a strip diagram. It is best used as an intro into strip diagrams because it allows for the students to understand the 'thinking' process behind making a strip diagram. I hope you like this resource!!! I welcome any feedback!!

This activity is modeled after the Name It activity from Lead4ward. It is designed to help students model thinking while solving multistep problems. The answer bank allows students to VISUALLY see the thinking a teacher does when he/she makes a strip diagram for a multistep problem. It also helps students to go back and READ the word problem and decipher what the numbers mean and how to use the numbers. I hope you like my activity :)

This game is 18 expanded notation questions focusing on tenths and hundredths. The game is played student vs student. Student 1 chooses the emoji he/she wants to answer. If they are correct they get the points. If they are incorrect then they get no points. Then student 2 goes and the process repeats. All questions have similar vocabulary and question stem as released STAAR tests

Once they have chosen their question and then correctly answered the question they get to spin the spinner from that emoji to collect points.
