Sorting Expressions and Polynomial Vocabulary
Steps:
1. Sort expressions into two columns of polynomials and non polynomials.
2. Glue the expressions in the correct columns.
3. For the polynomials, students need to identify each: name by number of terms, the leading terms, the degree and lead coefficient of the polynomials
This activity is a good review of what makes an expression a polynomial and give students a chance to practice using polynomial related vocabulary.

I prefer student centered learning. The best teaching days are when the students are work together and talking (or arguing!) about a math problem. Whenever possible, I like to make math hands on and interactive.
