About the store

Experience

I have over twenty years teaching experience at John Adams Middle School Gifted Magnet for the Los Angeles Unified School District. I am presently teaching at Revere Charter Middle School for the Los Angeles Unified School District. I have taught Ancient History, World History, U.S. History, Native American History and Art Studies.

Teaching style

I enjoy art, language arts, and theater. I incorporate different modalites of each into my lessons in order to engage students. Many of my lessons use creativity to inspire and involve students in the study of history. My goal is to make learning fun, interesting, and interactive for all students. My diversified curriculum promotes cooperative learning, critical thinking, and the understaning of primary source documents.

I have traveled extensively throughout Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Australia, Central America, Europe and Africa. I am an AYSO soccer coach and have a young son. I enjoy playing the guitar, canvas painting and sports.
