Students will activate prior knowledge of 9/11, read their written response to a partner and make predictions based on titles and illustrations. These strategies reflect the 4 lenses of learning taught from the University of Penn. Students will read an article focusing on Mychal Judge, a 9/11 hero. Students will then write a summarization of the article read, citing text evidence in their summary.
