I have been teaching middle school math and special education since 2007, and in 2023 my district appointed me Secondary Math Coach. These are resources that I use to increase student learning , engagement, and achievement over the past 17 years. My passion is teaching conceptually and helping to alleviate student working memory so they can meet the content readily and create meaning.

Halloween Compare Graph Proportional Relationships Algebra Standard 8.EE.B.5
Use these tasks for a halloween activity to address standard 8.EE.B.5. Students identify slope or unit rate from an equation, table, or set of ordered pairs and then compare two rates using the slope or unit rate. Students are also asked to graph both relationships on the coordinate plane. Let them color the pictures, add faces to the ghosts, add a witch to the broom, etc. for a fun bulletin board. Answers will be added once I create an answer key!
