About the store

I have been teaching middle school math and special education since 2007, and in 2023 my district appointed me Secondary Math Coach. These are resources that I use to increase student learning , engagement, and achievement over the past 17 years. My passion is teaching conceptually and helping to alleviate student working memory so they can meet the content readily and create meaning.

This fraction strip tool helps students understand many different fraction concepts: -why the value of a unit fraction is less as the denominator increases -equivalent fractions -comparing fractions -the sum of unit fractions Teacher can guide the students to complete the decimal number line along the bottom to find equivalent decimals as well. Use this resource when you begin to teach division with decimal divisors. Complete the 4 examples with students to introduce them to dividing with decimal divisors and students can continue to use the think chart until they have mastered dividing with decimals. I have been using this tool for over 10 years and have found it to scaffold student thinking tremendously.
