In this project, students will use measurement and multiplication to create a MAMMOTH or mini version of themselves! They will start by predicting some measurements about their own bodies.They will then find the actual measurements, using rulers, measuring tapes, and/or meter sticks. Finally they will scale those measurements either up or down to create a MAMMOTH or mini me, complete with a personality and more! Complete directions and templates included for every step, even extension options.

Use this note sheet as a way to summarize and make connections between multiplication with whole numbers and multiplication with fractions. Use the note sheet complete with examples, or the template, where students can write in their own examples, or BOTH! Three simple tasks are included to help students see connections, notice patterns, and make sense of multiplication with fractions.
