I have been teaching primarily 5th and 6th grade math, in Boston, Massachusetts, for the last 10 years, but also enjoying teaching 5th grade Social Studies, Literacy, and Character Building/Social Thinking.
In this project, students will use measurement and multiplication to create a MAMMOTH or mini version of themselves! They will start by predicting some measurements about their own bodies. They will then find the actual measurements, using rulers, measuring tapes, and/or meter sticks. Finally they will scale those measurements either up or down to create a MAMMOTH or mini me, complete with a personality and more! Complete directions and templates included for every step, even extension options.
