I don't like how they present solid shapes, so I use this lesson to teach them using math vocabulary (faces/vertices) This Powerpoint lesson teaches the basic solid shapes (cube, rectangular prism, cylinder, cone, pyramid). It includes real life examples of each shape, a practice activity, and an exit slip to assess students ability to identify shapes based on their properties.
