This "Wanted"-style Classroom jobs slideshow contains 6 job descriptions (Chromebook Captain, Materials Manager, Time Titan, Board Boss, Grown-Up Greeter, and Attendance Aide). I have also included a job "application" with the listing (linked on the last slide). The slideshow and doc application are editable/customizable, so if you'd prefer to add or edit job titles, you're free to do so! This packet is 3 pages (6 total including the answer key) of exercises to help students practice growing comfortable with latitude and longitude. The first page has students plotting coordinates and answering questions, the second has students filling in blanks through a matching exercise, and the third has students tracing a mouse's path to obtain a hunk of cheese. Depending on your group of students, I could see this utilized in a 5th, 6th, or 7th grade classroom. This file is an editable Goo

This three-page packet comes with a three-page answer document. The first page gives students 6 sets of quotes and asks them to label which quotes in each set is a fact and which is an opinion. The second page asks students to label 15 statements as facts or opinions (a bit harder than the first page). The third page is the most challenging and asks students to read three different, brief paragraphs. Students are asked to underline the facts and highlight the opinions. This would be a great reso

Students should work in pairs to fill out this checkerboard. They will need to identify some of their commonalities as well as their differences. I do this activity with my 7th and 8th graders throughout the year, and you could tweak it to best fit your own grade level. This product includes a blank template of the activity, as well as a completed one (shown in the product preview) to give students an example.

I use these Google slides EVERY day with my seventh and eighth grade students! I use it as a daily warm-up, just to get their minds thinking and their pencils moving. I typically ask my students to write 3-5 sentences as a part of this daily warm-up, but it can vary based on the day or the prompt. This product is also able to be customized/edited, so you can change any days where you'd like to incorporate a

Apostrophe Use Review -- Easy Activity for a sub day or work day!

This is an activity I use with my 7th graders at the beginning of the year. Most of them know how to use apostrophes, but oftentimes they just forget to include them when they're writing. This is a great refresher for 7th and 8th grade, or a good learning tool for younger grades! This purchase includes a two-page document and a two-page answer key.

I use this assignment as a fun activity for my middle school students, but it could truly work for any age! Students roll online/virtual "story dice" to give them five objects that they must incorporate in a short writing piece. (I have my students write 200 words, but you can easily edit this document and have your students write 100, 400, etc!)

All character names are gender neutral, but the document is customizable so names or other parts of the scenes can be changed or edited.
