Here is a great rubric for a Family Tree Project. It is easy for both the teacher and student to understand. Once you have passed this out to each student have them staple it to their project when they turn it in. Makes grading easy-peasy! A second page is included for working on their draft sentences. A great way to work together as a class and prepare. Some students may need the extra structure as a requirement while other students may be encouraged to venture "Above and Beyond" these sentenc

This is a rubric that is specifically geared towards being used in a World Language or ESL/ELL Classroom. The reason for this is that part of the task is how many specific vocabulary words are being used in the story. It could also be used in a higher level elementary or middle school classroom. I have used this with lower and higher level students. Expectations are very clear. This usually results in a high quality of student work for them (and you) to be proud of. Experience

I taught French 1, 2, 3 Honors, and AP/IB during my 5 yearsin Arizona. My last 3 years I mainly taught French 1 and 2. I also taught ESL for a year in Taiwan to kids ages 4-18. I currently teach French for NorthStar Academy an accredited online school with rigorous (and fun) curriculum.

Teaching style

My teaching style is very interactive. I like to use lots of TECHNOLOGY. I also like to use lots of activities that get my students SPEAKING and HEARING the language. Although you see a lot of items labelled with their Bien Dit level and chapter equivalents many of the activities can be used in non-Bien Dit classrooms with non-Bien Dit curriculum. The labels are just there to help out Bien Dit users find what they are looking for faster.
