Conjugating REGULAR Present tense Verbs in French (ER, RE, IR)

This is a very well organized PowerPoint that has lots of information but in a CLEAR and EASY to understand way. The PowerPoint is divided up so that you can just present -ER verbs and then -RE and -IR at a later date. But you can also present them all at once if that is how you are working through your curriculum. Conjugating regular verbs is explained with a tagline to help them remember what to do each time they conjugate this type of verb. TWO summary pages are provided at the end. These

Here is a great rubric for a Family Tree Project. It is easy for both the teacher and student to understand. Once you have passed this out to each student have them staple it to their project when they turn it in. Makes grading easy-peasy! A second page is included for working on their draft sentences. A great way to work together as a class and prepare. Some students may need the extra structure as a requirement while other students may be encouraged to venture "Above and Beyond" these sentenc

Fun way to review instead of just looking at a vocab sheet or filling in blanks. Directions for this activity are included. Takes 5 minutes to set up. My students LOVE it! RE-USE these same prompts/letters for other activities including as examples of letters they can write. Practice by only switchi

Create this Passé Composé ETRE Verb wheel with your students as a helpful tool for learning which verbs use ETRE as a Helping Verb in the Passé Composé. This wheel will help students develop 'muscle memory' with the 17 special VANDY verbs. It even constantly reminds them to do AGREEMENT. I have found that by using this consistently, students have greater long-term success with VANDY verbs (Passé Composé with Etre). Enjoy! -Also check out the Passé Composé AVOIR and Futur Proche WHEELS-

Give this as a handout or better yet post it on your website for students to access and fill in digitally (SAUVONS DES ARBRES!). Use in the computer lab on a block day (individually or with a partner) or have students do it as homework. They can then e-mail you their results or print the document out for you to check. Kids STILL needing EXTRA HELP? Fill out the TUTORING HOURS section on the handout so that everyone is very clear about when they can come in for extra review.

Teaching style

My teaching style is very interactive. I like to use lots of TECHNOLOGY. I also like to use lots of activities that get my students SPEAKING and HEARING the language. Although you see a lot of items labelled with their Bien Dit level and chapter equivalents many of the activities can be used in non-Bien Dit classrooms with non-Bien Dit curriculum. The labels are just there to help out Bien Dit users find what they are looking for faster.
