Thank you for taking the time to view my product. As a USH teacher, my goal is to take out the fluff and provide the students with what they need to know to get an understanding of historical events. By getting "down and dirty", my students and I can spend more time on analysis, conversation and activities that engage them in the historical learning process. In this activity, students will take a walk through a customized Civil Rights Museum, getting access to the following showrooms: Civil Righ

Issues trying to get your students to visual grouping of documents for a DBQ? I've used this in my classroom and it has proven successful. The google slide has two buckets. It allows you drag and drop the corresponding document into the correct bucket. The titles for each bucket can be changed according to the prompt.

About the store

Experience

I am a high school social studies teacher. I've taught all levels of both World History and U.S History to include: ESE, ESOL, Regular, Honors and A.P.

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses on a flipped classroom. The first day, I follow a more traditional practice of an interactive lesson. Each lesson focuses not only on content material, but critical thinking questions and discussions along with primary and secondary source analysis. My material is chunked to offer maximum comprehension. The next day, students will reinforce their learning through an activity. I do believe in class discussion. I believe in student centered learning.
