Teaching students how to write DBQs have been a challenge. Many students develop create ideas but stop short of specific explanation. I created this HIPP writing guide as a way to help my students strengthen their arguments. It has worked so far and I have seen an increase in writing skills.

In this activity, the President has a tough decision to make regarding military action on Japan. The class will transform into 5 advisory groups.
