About the store
I have been a math teacher for over 12 years. I have taught 7 years at the high school level and 5 at the middle school level. Although I loved teaching high school, I wanted to pursue a career in Educational Administration. With that goal in mind I pursued and attained my current position as Mathematics Department Head at Hudson Memorial Middle School where I teach 7th and 8th graders.

This activity turns reviewing the concepts of finding common factors and exponent rules into a game. Students solve problems to review eight learning targets in an attempt to get all eight badges of math mastery. Once students have shown mastery on all eight learning targets they get the level-up badges. Students will prove mastery of GCF, algebraic fraction simplification, scientific notation, multiplying and dividing variables with exponents and more as they prepare for more work with fract

I have used public domain images and backgrounds to create stickers that are tailored to indicate mastery of each of the numbers 1 through 10.
