These four activity sheets are focused on problem solving in math. They are centered on the following animal themes: cats, dogs, monkeys, and horses. This is a summative assessment that includes text-to-self, text-to-text, and text-to-world connections. Over a three or four day period, I read aloud a book at the start of our Reading block. They can choose one type of connection they would like to make that day. After reading a book each day and having them make a new type of connection, this makes a great summative assessment for making connections within their reading!
