This is a collaborative puzzle that my students colored and assembled as a beginning-of-the-year project. When assembled, this puzzle spells out "CREATE" and reads, "Commit real effort and try everyday". This product contains 6 PDFs that have 33 puzzle pieces each, a puzzle map to help with assembly and tips on how to complete this project. This is for a quick mini-lesson on "good craftsmanship" for drawing projects. I have used this with middle school and high school students in an attempt to improve the quality of their finished drawings. I've even had high school students try to turn-in work that was colored like "scribble scrabble". This is an extra little activity I used during the first week of school. I taped this paper onto the table at each seat in my classroom and instructed each student to write on it. It served as a seating chart/way to learn each students name. It also gave them something to do immediately as they come into class and while I'm taking attendance.
