This checklist is used after students have written narrative stories. They will go through their stories with the checklist independently first. Then they will have a classmate use the same checklist to read their story. At the end, the peer can leave comments with advice and feedback. This has been helpful in building independence during writing, rather than having a line waiting for me to read their stories!

This is a fast and easy way to have students self edit and peer edit their work!

Included is a fully editable student led conferences letter and sign up sheet. Since it is a pain to rewrite conference letters each time they roll around, I use the same letter, but edit the dates and times! I use the sign up sheet not only to figure times that each parent can meet, but also as my own reference of the conference schedule. I've found this method particularly successful, but if its not exactly what you want, just remember that it is completely editable to your own conference

These rewards are totally editable to fit your classroom. My students save up "Star lake Way" tickets to purchase items in our classroom. When they saved up the amount shown on the reward, they can purchase the reward card and use it when they like!

I created and printed this plot chart onto 11 by 17 paper for my class this year in order to help them plan their narrative stories before writing. It worked wonders! Each step on the plot chart has clear instructions for each part of the story. (Exposition, Rising Action, Climax, Falling Action, and Resolution) I let my students write notes of their plans all over these and their stories have stayed right on track once they began writing!

This scavenger hunt is for students to show their parents to different areas around the room. it can be used for parent night, conferences, etc. It is completely edible and my students and parents love it!

Having been a support staff member the past few years, I have often been subbing in classrooms when substitute teachers are not available. These are simple to print out and write names on for student desks. There are 4 different types of animal prints. I use the variance in animal prints are 4 student "teams." Not to mention, they are gender neutral!

These are small printable rewards that can be cut out and given to students who are really showing their role model qualities. They can be edited to fit your needs, but some of the rewards are a piece of candy, drawing time during silent reading, etc. These work well as positive reinforcements. Some of the rewards are repeated, but can be changed to suit your needs.

You can quickly edit this end of the day routine to fit your needs. I print the sheets out on 11x17 paper and glue them together as a long checklist. It definitely helps students to see a visual!
