I use this folder in my kindergarten classroom to reinforce and practice the alphabet. I use this folder during my small reading groups. Students are also welcome to take a folder during free choice and practice their letters. They especially like the velcro option. You can also attach velcro. I laminate the letters for durability. You will need: 1 file folder 1 envelope or ziplock to store the individual letters This PDF includes Page 1 Cover page for the front of the folder that says "Alpha

Print each page on colored paper.
Lay out your dismissal options before school.
Have parents select the correct transportation home and staple onto their child's backpack handle loop.
At the end of the day you will have a color coded line!
Dismissal will be a breeze!
You can also use these yourself later in the year when you have a guest teacher or to remind yourself of changes.

The Gingerbread Baby project is a fun way to integrate Social Studies, reading, and writing during the Winter months. I use this as my December focus.
You will read Gingerbread Baby by Jan Brett. Then send a Gingerbread Baby off to explore another state. He/She will return to tell his tales of adventure.
You will receive:
1. An overview of this project
2. The Parent Letter to be sent home to each family
3. The Relative Letter explaining their part in the project
4. The Relative Questionnaire
These sweet little tags are a fun way to motivate the bookworms in your class.
I attached the tag to a snack size zip-lock bag. I filled the bag with a handful of gummy worms.
I made this graphic organizer to help my kindergarten students with narrative writing performance tasks. This graphic organizer is Common Core aligned.
In the topic (top) box we write a topic sentence and draw the characters and the setting. In each of the other boxes we draw pictures and label them.
The last box is for reaction and we turn the circle into a smiling face, frowning face, etc.
Hope this helps.
