In my class, we teach addition with a series of strategies, and then the strategies are reinforced with the use of games. This is a cute, colorful, printable file-folder game that focuses on the basic facts strategy, "Make 10". All you need to do is print and assemble! If you are unfamiliar with Make 10, it means that all of the basic addition facts that sum to a number more than 10 fit into that strategy. Enjoy!

This is a good game to use at a station. Students compete to answer basic facts such as zero facts, one more, two more, doubles, doubles plus one, doubles plus two, make ten, ten facts, and up through ten. K, 1, 2, 3, and 4. Can be run independently.
