I love being a third and fourth grade split-level teacher! This is my fourth year teaching 3/4 after teaching preschool. Most of my students are Dyslexic/ADHD and I teach math and language remediation classes for all grades.

This is a good review activity for O-G L1 and L2 phonograms and key words. Each kid gets some cards, reads the sound, and the person with the matching card reads the key word. I use this as a quick and easy warm-up in my language class. The kids should have a background knowledge of O-G.
In my class, we teach addition with a series of strategies, and then the strategies are reinforced with the use of games. This is one of the games I like to use to help my kids practice the Make 10 addition strategy. "Make 10" is all of the facts that equal to a sum of 11 or more. To find the sum, the students are encouraged to "make 10" and then add on to find the answer. However you teach it, this game will reinforce addition facts that are the harder ones for the kiddos to remember because th
This is a cute, colorful, printable file-folder game that focuses on the basic facts strategy, "Make 10". All you need to do is print and assemble! If you are unfamiliar with Make 10, it means that all of the basic addition facts that sum to a number more than 10 fit into that strategy. Enjoy!
This is an r-controlled practice game for two players. You input your own "r-controlled" pictures (ex: star, bark, skirt, horn, farm) on the cards. This way, you can identify photos your students will recognize and that you have used in instruction. Students identify the picture, say the word, identify the r-controlled sound, and cross off the matching phonogram on the board.
This makes for a cute bulletin board at the beginning of the year. The kids set a goal and write or illustrate it on the kite, put the steps on the ties, and tape a string to the bottom of the kite, add the ties and voila! You've got a great bulletin board and the kids have put their goals in writing!

This is a good game to use at a station. Students compete to answer basic facts such as zero facts, one more, two more, doubles, doubles plus one, doubles plus two, make ten, ten facts, and up through ten. K, 1, 2, 3, and 4. Can be run independently.
This is a lesson plan page for 6 periods/classes and includes Saturday and Sunday so you can plan your whole life! This page prints on 11 x 17 and is made to be folded in half and added to a binder-type plan book. You will also need to flip the page over and re-print it to have the To-Do list on the back of the lesson plan page. If you loved The Write Time Pub. Co. Teacher Time plan book, as I did, you will like this page. I was so bummed when it went out of print I decided to make my own! Downl
This is a penguin/winter themed sorting activity for parts of speech: nouns, verbs, adjectives. All words are winter themed. Students use the word bank to sort the winter nouns, verbs, and adjectives into the appropriate boxes.
Hi! I hope you will like this as much as I did. In my class, we have what we call a "ticket fairy" and a "desk fairy". These slips can be cut apart and placed on desks when the kids are out of the room. When they come back they have a surprise reward from the desk fairy to take home and show their parents! The slips print in threes and are all slightly different due to formatting issues, but for a buck with unlimited reproductions you can't beat it!

We use this in our class to display student's yearly goals. It hangs on a wire that goes across our room and it looks like a banner! The kids choose a reasonable goal for the year and then write it and illustrate it on the pennant. We hang it and check in with them on their progress throughout the year. Hope you like it!
