After practicing how to write and solve 2 step equations, students are challenged to create their own word problem and 2 step equation. The product must be sold in 3 different sizes, and they will calculate the unit rate for each. They will also indicate which one is the 'better buy' or best value! Great way to practice unit rates! Math Bellwork/Bellringer sheet for student use! I give each student a sheet and they keep up with it for 2 weeks (I run it front/back). Each class period begins with 3 problems for them to complete. They show all work on their bellwork paper. We go over answers as a class and they check their work. At the end of the 2 weeks, they turn their paper in for 20 points! Feel free to use however it works best for your classroom!
