This product is my absolute favorite! I love doing this with my kids. While teaching the kids about circuits have them bring in some shoeboxes. Towards the end of the circuit unit, have them begin building shoebox houses. The decor must be all handmade and they must create circuits using 9-volt batteries and christmas lights. They create switches using brass tabs and paper clips. At the culimation of the project, have the students put on a sale. I have the students take pictures of their house a
This product is a Google Earth Scavenger Hunt checking out major mountains and volcanoes around the world. Kids get the opportunity to explore Google Earth and its features while also learning about geological formations throughout our planet. They even get to use the snapshot tool to import pictures into the file if used digitally with programs like notability.
Can you help Santa get his things and get out again!? This escape room is designed around Santa needing to get in the workshop and grab some items then get out to head out for his Christmas journey. It includes all clues already set up around the room. A timer is included as well WITH CHRISTMAS MUSIC!!! I have my students open up the file in preview mode (you will have to send it that way) or I have them just hit the 'present' button in google slides as soon as they open the file. You want them
This escape room goes around a fictional character General Callard and his wife Sam. Students are placed in a room where they must use clues to collect 12 letters that create 2 words. They must answer questions and interact with you in order to get all of their letters. This is a fantastic resource for face-to-face, virtual, and even HYBRID learning! Kids love it! A timer is even included in the room to help them keep up with time. Some clues don't help the students and some do. The students hav
This lab is so much fun! You as the teacher sets up the room making sure everyone has a cup and fill the cups halfway with water. The take sodium carbonate (super cheap) and put it in 3 cups around the room. Stir those cups up so kids won't notice. Then have the kids put a number you assign on the cup. Have them follow the instructions in this packet for how to mix fluids and record data with other students. Finally, at the end go around using an indicator (phenolphthalein) to find out who is in
This activity helps students understand analyzing graphs, waves of an earthquake, and anatomy of an earthquake. Students are tasked with taking the seismograms from 3 different cities and figured out where the earthquake originated. If using paper you may need a compass and pencil for each student to draw the circles. If using ipads or tablets, using notability is great because shapes are avaiable!
This song covers all concepts about Mitosis and Meiosis. It is a great explanation between the two as it compares and contrasts different aspects of each. The song that plays in the background is the instrumental version to a song called Givency. Enjoy!
This song was written for 6th grade Earth Science on multiple concepts in geology. The song is sung to the instrumental version of 'There He Go' by Kodak Black.
This note taking guide is a great way to immerse concepts that your students love into your classroom. Students love social media so why not use it in your lessons! I love to assign my students an article and then have them chunk it with their group. The students start by creating a unique username for themselves. Students only read certain sections of the article and then they have to create one tweet on the front pertaining to their section. I encourage them to be funny and creative but they m
