This activity is great for station work (partner or individual), and interventions. As a nice bonus feature, I made these cards 2 ¾” x 1 ½” so that they would fit into the expensive suitcase-style pocket chart I already had. These may fit for your existing pocket charts too!
There are 10 header cards and 45 sorting cards. The header cards state “long (vowel)” and “short (vowel)” and are outlined in green and magenta. These should be cut out separately. The sorting cards are words and pictures
This CUSTOMIZABLE spreadsheet will allow you to enter your student's behavior points earned against behavior points possible and it will calculate the percentages for daily points as well as weekly points by subject or time period. Provides data at your fingertips for IEP meetings, progress reports, referral meetings, report cards and more. Saves valuable time! All you have to do is enter the points: this worksheet does the rest!
Included are two versions of the worksheet (tracking by subject a

These awards correspond with the CARES Skills behavior model adopted by many school districts and special education EBD programs. Due to variance in programs between Respect and Responsibility, I've included separate awards for each.
Included are individual awards for each CARES skill in color, and a generic black and white CARES award suitable for printing on color paper.
This activity is very Responsive Classroom friendly and helps students identify the skills and behaviors that make for a successful school year. This lesson plan is for a cooperative group activity, followed by guided discussion identifying the skills that lead to a climate of respect and learning.
I recommend using this lesson as an anticipatory set to classroom rule writing or as a supplemental activity during the year if your class is struggling with any of the following:
respectful language

Happy Educating! Ms. Deacon
This icebreaker activity is a fun alternative to some of the tired and overused activities out there. Students grades 4-12 get to know each other better through interpreting drawings. This lesson can even be used (and had been) as an adult icebreaker! This lesson includes detailed plans, link to CCSS and differentiation options. Please let me know what you think by rating it on my TpT page. Enjoy!
This activity helps students gain number sense while learning how to create numeric expressions, both vertically and horizontally. The arrays assist students needing the extra assistance as well as help to self-check answers. While most will use the addition and subtraction cards, I've included multiplication and division for differentiation.
This download includes a set of five cards for each number 1-10. Each set includes the numerical digit, the written word, an array of dots, an addition equation and a subtraction equation. I've included 5 different examples of how these can be used in the classroom, from independent seat work to partner games. This would be perfect for K-2 students, or special education students needing additional interventions.
Adorable and motivational desk plates in three styles (moon, rocket and anstronauts) with the motivational quote "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss you will land among the stars!" Each style comes in two options - alphabet and number line 1-10 AND alphabet place value millions - thousandths. Simply print, laminate and attach to the desks.
Identify and sort out factors for 10x10 times chart, as well as prime numbers 11 & 13. In addition to the product header cards ("Factors of ...") there are enough sorting cards to compare any three products at once. These cards are 2 3/4 x 1 1/2 inches and will fit into many pocket charts. An answer chart is included, which also identifies prime and square numbers.
This activity helps teach attributes and how to use a Venn Diagram. The apples can be sorted into five different categories and placed onto a re-printable Venn Diagram. This activity can be use for independent seat work or as a teacher-led intervention.
