This chart gives students choices in dialogue tags. The tags are grouped generally around emotions to help student narrow their decision making when writing. It also helps students with less vocabulary choose a stronger word. Included are figurative language words and a space for words your student finds in their own text.
This is the basic 'script' for writing a 5 paragraph essay. I use it for ELLs and students with disabilities to help them get the format of an essay, especially during tests. The essay is written to promote correct grammar and be easily memorized. Students learn to write an outline with their supports and thesis then they can use this script to connect their ideas. The script has underlines places where items from the outline are included.

For best results they should then read the paragraph out loud and then recopy it in their notebooks to help them process. Designed with extra writing space. Made for my diverse population of students with special needs and english language learners.
These are printable charts to use as a behavior plan in the classroom. There are two sets, one for most students who take a long time getting to their seats and being prepared and the other for students that are lower functioning or have more executive functioning problems. Easy to check off during the day, send home to parents daily or once a week.
This smartboard lesson uses the authentic situation of having too much leftover pizza to fit in the fridge. The solution, add the fractions of the pizza to make mixed numbers. Has visual of refrigerator and pizza situation as well as movable pizza boxes and slices. Students can move the slices themselves to combine them. Ends with problem practice.
