This is the basic 'script' for writing a 5 paragraph essay. I use it for ELLs and students with disabilities to help them get the format of an essay, especially during tests. The essay is written to promote correct grammar and be easily memorized. Students learn to write an outline with their supports and thesis then they can use this script to connect their ideas. This is a test based on the Go Math! Curriculum and the CCLS. It is only to measure students rote skills ability, not word problems. It can be used to assess where students are with previous skills prior to preparing for state tests. It goes from place value through multiplication with decimals.
