21 slides in PDF format to guide high school students through the process of creating (or revising) their resumes. The product contains lots of tips and examples to share with students altogether, or to provide as a resource. My students enjoy this project every year. It also helps them learn to navigate Canva better. Fun fact: Every summer, at least a few students ask me if I still have their resume projects because they need it for interviews!!

This Article 1 & 2 activity could be used during: whole group instruction, guided groups, center work, or independent practice. I crafted each article myself, in order to the model the structure of opinion writing, including transitional phrases. I notice that my second graders struggle with identifying the opinion & the reasons of an author's text (distinguishing from their own). Once they have this down, then I teach how the examples are connected & match with the reasons, respectfully.

Every year, the seniors on my high school campus engage in a senior research project. We study the UN Declaration of Human Rights, then individual students choose a human rights issue. Research continues from there. This is a list of project options I have come up with over the years. Students love the choices, rather than being told they need to make slides and present them.
