Daily Behavior Tracker (Parent & Teacher) Communication (English and Spanish)

I created this behavior tracker for one of my students who needed daily communication between home and school and there are many components that I love about this form… *This form can be used for any behavior, needing to be communicated and tracked on a daily basis. *The pictures provide a great visual for the student and parent (thumbs up, thumbs down, or so-so day). *The teacher /parent comment is short and sweet. There is no need to write a paragraph every day, instead a quick phrase or se

MATH MAT for solving story problems

While this MATH MAT can be used for any student, I personally created this for my students with either math deficits and/or reading comprehension deficits. This mat breaks down math story problems in order to solve, looking at key words and numbers to solve. I divided and labeled this into 4 squares/ process. For example, STEP 1: Important Numbers, ______STEP 3: Draw a Picture,_______) It provides a visual cue, while focusing on the “need-to-know” information. Use for day-to-day math wo

COMMUNICATION LOG for Gen Ed or SPED

I use this communication log for my students I am case manager for; however, this can easily be used for the general education teacher as well! I keep this log in each of my student’s file, for quick and easy access—not to mention this is a very neat and organized way to keep record! I am guilty of using excessive amounts of sticky notes in the past--some of which were lost over time, and all of which were so short-hand, I often forgot to write important info like the time and/or what the re

As a SPED teacher, I created this packet, based off a student's IEP. This particular student needed extra support in MATH and as a team we decided a paraprofessional would be responsible implementing and monitoring these skills. Each MATH skill is broken down into 3 parts, reading, writing, and counting numbers 1 through 10. This packet includes the materials needed, student data table, and student-friendly I CAN statements based on the standards for monitoring progress. This item has also

MATH I CAN ADD TARGET

I use this as a visual for both the student and myself. Our school district requires us to post learning targets for our students, but as a SPED teacher, I often have students working at multiple stages making a learning target too general and/or not specific enough to each of my student’s needs. This learning target is used for personal growth and tracking and can be completed by the student. I typically laminate this form and attach it to a file folder, where I house addition facts/workshee

Sloppy Work from Speeding? Let's try that again...

If my students go to fast on a project or assignment, they receive a speeding ticket and the chance to redo their work. This is a great reminder to students that if they take there time and do it correct the first time, simple mistakes and messy writing can be avoided.

About the store

Experience

I teach special education to kindergarteners, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students.

Teaching style

Each one of my students is very special--it is up to me to try to make connections to their unique learning need(s) while supporting the gen ed teachers on the general education curriculum. My ultimate goal is to ensure my students are making progress toward grade level goals and their individual educational goals. My students' are uniquely able to learn and adapt regardless of their learning disability and/or behavior barriers. The obstacles some of my students overcome is inspiring to their peers and most of all, ME!
