This end of the year activity is a big hit with my classes! The memory book is filled with themed pages, prompts, and spaces for students to gather notes and signatures. We typically spend about 3-4 class periods working on these books. Some of the pages included are: -classroom highlights -all about me right now -teachers' spotlight -school mascot This was also designed to be open ended, so it works for all middle school grades. I hope your students enjoy making their own memory books!

30 random trivia questions from students grades 5-12! This activity is great for end of the year celebrations and can be done with large groups of students. It can also be a great way to kick off your school year! All of the answers are included in the slides!

This sildeshow covers the Aztec, Maya, and Inca civilizations. It includes printable fill in notes for students and a post note activity for each civilization. It also has multiple videos embedded into it to break up the note taking. This was designed to be ELL (English Language Learner) friendly with simple context focused langauge used throughout. I had great success with this in my 6th grade ELL social studies classes. I hope you find it jsut as useful in your own classes!

In this assignment students are asked to make their own flag and then explain their reasoning behind what they create. It has a brainstorming activity built into it help the stduents get their ideas out onto paper before creating their final flag. I use it as a begnign of the year activity as one way of getting to know my students. However, you could use this at any time really. Have some fun with your students before the holidays! This is a complete trivia game that highlights 10 different winter holidays around the world. The game is broken down into 5 rounds, with 10 questions in each. All answers are revealed at the end of each round. This was designed with multiple rounds so it can be broken up over the course of multiple days if needed. For example, you could let your students play 1 round per day for a week. This slideshow explains how to determine viewpoint of texts in three different ways. The first is through pictures, the second through pictures and texts, and the final way is just through a text. It was designed for ELL (English language learners) but would work for any students!

This slideshow covers some of the main accomplishments of Ancient Egypt. It has fill in notes for students and videos embedded into the slides to break up the note taking. It was also designed for 6th grade social studies classes that had English Language Learners in it, so this product is ELL friendly.

This is a pre-reading vocabulary activity for the greek myth about Prometheus and Zeus. I used it with my 6th grade level 3 ELLs (English Language Learners) as an opening activity. I designed this to use in my own classroom to help keep my chronically absent students up to date on their missing assignments. It can also be used year after year. This activity is ready to use! It includes a grammar introduction to the 8 major parts of speech (one slide per part), two color by part of speech activities, and answer keys for both. This is valentine's day themed and can easily be used again and again. For my 6th grade level 3 ELL students I know this activity takes 1-2 classes to complete, 45-90 minutes. This Latin American Civilizations trivia game is focused on the main three groups: the Aztec, Maya, and Inca. It consits of 27 quations all content focused but written in simple terms. All questions are written in English, Spanish, and Portugese. This game was designed for a level 1 and level 2 English Language Learners (ELLs) 6th grade social studies class.

This is a basic presentaion to begin working on or reviewing participles with students. I use this with 6th grade English Language Learners (ELLs) but it could work for ELLs in grades 3-12. It could also work with younger native speakers as well. Enjoy!

This acticity was used in an ELL (English Language Learner's) level 1 geography class. It was used to recape physical features and get students to start exploring which types of physical features that can be found in Latin America.
