This was designed for level 3 English Language Learners in 6th grade but absolutely could be used with younger learners and older ELLs. This end of the year activity is a big hit with my classes! The memory book is filled with themed pages, prompts, and spaces for students to gather notes and signatures. We typically spend about 3-4 class periods working on these books. Some of the pages included are: -classroom highlights -all about me right now -teachers' spotlight -school mascot This was also designed to be open ended, so it works for all middle school grades. This sildeshow covers the Aztec, Maya, and Inca civilizations. It includes printable fill in notes for students and a post note activity for each civilization. It also has multiple videos embedded into it to break up the note taking. This was designed to be ELL (English Language Learner) friendly with simple context focused langauge used throughout. In this assignment students are asked to make their own flag and then explain their reasoning behind what they create. It has a brainstorming activity built into it help the stduents get their ideas out onto paper before creating their final flag. This activity is ready to use! It includes a grammar introduction to the 8 major parts of speech (one slide per part), two color by part of speech activities, and answer keys for both.
