This calendar is perfect on paper or electronic. It's great for weekly or monthly lesson planning. You can also share with students so they can see what's coming next, or what they missed when they were absent.
These stations are perfect for the beginning of the year as you teach students the routines and procedures of your classroom. This set is part of my Desert Boho Collection I have been working on. These templates are editable via Canva (perferred editing mode) and in Google Slides.
Cut out and laminate the letter/Questions. Students will walk around the room to find the question they are to reflect on an answer on the answer page. I have attached a PDF that shows you my questions but also has a google doc copy so you can create your own questions.
Fan N Pick is great strategy to use with task cards in math. This placemat goes in the middle of the table so the students know there job. After the card has been solved and check the placemat rotates so that everyone has a new role.
A Rally Coach is a cooperative learning strategy where students take turns solving. Each pair gets one paper and they switch on and off who is solving Person A or Person B. This is also a worksheet where you could use a Sage and Scribe for practice.
This reviews all four operations with fractions, as well as dividing fractions word problems. This would be a good end of the year review prior to state testing or a final exam.
Students were to create a situation that was a function. I let them create these on big poster paper. After creating the situation they had to create a table to graph, determine the rate of change, clarify the meaning of rate, the y-intercept, and the equation. The last and final part of the project was that they had to compare the properties of their function to another partner groups function and write about it briefly in a writing piece. This was not part of the rubric because it was graded s
This is a great interactive activity for students when teaching them how to translate phrases to algebraic expressions. First, give students there card (page 3 and 4), don't let them show anyone. They must determine which phrase or algebraic expression their card matches on the game board. I made this time independent think time. When they determined their match on the board, their sign their initials on that box. After think time, students got their answer checked by their shoulder partner to
Students are to put the slides in least to greatest order to depict the rational numbers in least to greatest order correctly. This was an assignment I posted on my Google Classroom, so suggest converting it to a Google slides. This would be great for a math center or station activity.
These are particularly good for the beginning of the year but I keep them up all year to help new students in their transition when they first get there. I put these on the wall by each area. For example, the notebook procedures go by the notebook shelf. It's also really nice for me to have a hard copy of the expectations to ensure I am consistent. Feel free to edit the procedures to fit your classroom and theme! I hope these are helpful.
These are perfect for a classroom that is bursting with group work and activities. Put these either taped on your desks or in your group work baskets in the middle of the tables or desk. These are a great way to help students start conversations with peers and learn how to extend their knowledge with help from their group members. My students eventually memorized these questions and I would hear these conversations as a rotated the room. Such a good feeling!
