“Bank Account Saga” is a story that is told entirely through bank statement. It makes for an excellent lesson in inference! Students not only need to infer what is being purchased with these bank statements but they also need to infer what story is being told JUST through the checks! I used to have all my students complete my "Ordeal By Cheque" activity, but my lower level kids had a hard time with it. I decided to write my own modern version for my lower level kids to differentiate! Students ca

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching English for over a decade in a small rural town. I have taught standard, inclusion, and advanced English classes.

Teaching style

I work hard to intergrate technology and fun into my lessons! I love to use Prezis, Wikis, and songs/movie clips in my classroom. (my kids seem to like it too!)

Awards & shining teacher moments

Technology Teacher of the Year (2011) & Teacher of the year for my division (2011)

My own education history

I was homeschooled throughout my entire early education. In fact, my first day teaching in the classroom was my first day in a public school! I hope that my background with homeschooling sometimes give me a fresh take on things when it comes to teaching.

Additional biographical information

I LOVE to read. I try to complete a book every other day (this normally works unless I am doing schoolwork!) I have two cats and two dogs...basically I am the quintessential/ sterotypical English teacher!
