This worksheet is the BEST!!! It shows students a few different things: 1: Electrons always fill the inner-most shell first, then work their way out. 2: 2, 8, 8 electron shell pattern 3: Basic structure of the PTofE 4: Patterns of valence electrons in the PTofE Don't lecture students on all of these facts; first have them complete this worksheet, then hold a group discussion on the patterns they found.
