Two google forms are similar to an exit ticket style, while the other two are a break-out with a secret word with decipher key at the end! These task cards are are divided into three groups (8 task cards in each group). There is a low level, mid level, and high level set of questions. Do you need a fun word problem for a math station for Pi Day?! This word problem asks students to think and wonder about the question before solving for the answers. Students must add and subtraction fractions with unlike denominators to determine how much pie the dogs ate and how much is left over! I do this every Pi Day in my classroom (March 14th). I bring in an apple pie and cherry pie with the sections missing! We enjoy the pie together when we are done solving our word problem!
This fun activity has students multiply a fraction by a whole number. Students will determine the ingredients based off a Hungry Jack Pancake box for 30 students.

My own education history
I was enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Program from 6th - 12th grade. I spent my freshman year of college at Longwood University studying Liberal Studies: Elementary Education. I transferred and finished my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Liberal Studies with a minor in Elementary Education and Biology at James Madison University. I continued my education and obtained my Master of Arts in Teaching from James Madison University as well. More recently, I finished the Administrative program at James Madison University and am certified to be a k-12 administrator.
