Square Numbers Investigation to explain Mathematical thinking
The lesson starts with some hinge questions where children can think about the question posed and then go to the correct place in the classroom - ALWAYS TRUE, SOMETIMES TRUE, NEVER TRUE.
The Notebook explores what mathematical thinking is and explores the idea that Maths isn't about finding the right answer but 'having a go' and exploring.
