About the store
I am currently in my 25th year of teaching Social Studies at Perkins High School in Sandusky, Ohio. Perkins High School is a STEM-designated, Apple 1-to-1 school located in Northwest Ohio that emphasizes innovation, technology integration, and real-world learning opportunities for students. In addition to my classroom teaching responsibilities, I have served as a Dual Enrollment instructor and adjunct professor with the University of Findlay in Government and International Relations. As Director of the Perkins Academy Experience, I help oversee a personalized learning program that connects students with career pathways through job shadows, internships, mentorships, and community partnerships. The program allows students to explore careers and gain real-world experience while developing professional skills and building connections with local businesses and organizations. Through these experiences, students are able to apply classroom learning in meaningful settings and make informed decisions about their future educational and career goals. My instructional approach emphasizes blended learning, project-based learning, and student-centered instruction. I am Quality Matters trained in online instruction, ensuring that courses are designed to meet high standards for engagement, accessibility, and student success.
