I am a trained music teacher who's enjoyed everything from teaching full time, to substitute teaching across a myriad of elementary schools, to covering a preschool class for nearly a full year. I like to think that when it comes to prek-6 I've seen it all!
I know that creating an online curriculum is ridiculously challenging, especially for music, so I figured I would share this lesson with y'all. This is a lesson works through Google Forms, it discusses Major and Minor sounds. I've used it in the past as a self-guided lesson as well as a substitute lesson and it's worked very well. It works solely on recognizing the difference between them (this lesson does not go into detail such as raised or lowered scale degrees). Perfect for grades 4 and up

I know that creating a digital curriculum on short notice can be stressful, so here's an easy plan for you to upload to your google sight, classroom, or whatever platform you've chosen. When teaching in a traditional classroom, you can make a complete lesson out of each of the stories and activities included, forming a 4 week composer unit. Experience
I am a trained music teacher who's enjoyed everything from teaching full time, to substitute teaching across a myriad of elementary schools, to covering a preschool class for nearly a full year. I like to think that when it comes to prek-6 I've seen it all!
Teaching style
I foster structured classrooms that encourage children to learn through play, exploration, and experiences. Sometime we have to be serious, and that's okay, as long as we leave time for silly as well.
My own education history
I attended Northern Arizona University where I studied Choral Music Education under the direction of Dr. Edith Copley, Dr. Ryan Holder and Dr. & Mrs. Stamer.
