This puzzle was made to help my students with modeling integer operations using integer chips and number lines. There are 45 pieces that need to be placed in 4 different categories. The four category cards are Expression, Model, Answer, and Extra Pieces. Students need to match each expression with its model and answer. This activity has 6 questions that require students to use their skills for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions and decimals. After solving each question, students will turn the paper over and connect their answer to the previous answer. If all six questions are solved correctly, a check mark will have been created from the connected dots. This is a great way to assess your students' understanding of operations with rational numbers and the connect the dots makes it more fun

This is a 20 question assessment that I give my students over integer operations. The first 10 questions are basic computation with all four operations. The other 10 questions are a mix of modeling integer operations, word problems, and more complex computation questions (see thumbnails for examples). Answer Key is included. This is an E-Instruction quiz that I made to assess my students understanding of solving one-step equations prior to moving on to two-step equations. There are eight questions provided and each equation has a model represented by algebra tiles or integer chips. The first part of this assignment gives students a chance to practice matching integer subtraction expressions to their equivalent addition expression and solution. I found that this assignment really helped struggling students who were not understanding how to rewrite the subtraction problem as addition. The first page of this assignment is 15 questions of integer addition practice. After answering each question, students use the answer bank at the bottom to shade in their answer. If they solve all 15 questions correctly, they should make a checker board pattern. This Excel activity includes 10 questions for solving two-step equations. Students solve for x and enter their answer in a solution column which then tells them if they are correct or if they need to try again. This activity starts with a dividing fractions match. Students must match each division expression with the equivalent multiplication expression and then to the solution. Students are given expressions with dividing fractions and they must rewrite the expression using multiplication (multiplying by the reciprocal) and then solve. Students are also given a few expressions with multiplying fractions and they must rewrite the expression using division and solve. Each year my students make a foldable when we start our lesson on the order of operations, but the process of making the foldable can be lengthy. In order to save time I created a document that makes the creation of the foldable so much easier. Each page will make two foldables. Simply cut along the dotted lines and fold. This 8 question Loop activity provides your students with fraction and decimal operations practice. The questions include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Students cut the cards apart, match questions to answers, and tape/glue them together.
