Early Childhood Assessment

I created this assessment to use with three to five year old children based on TS Gold objectives. Even if you do not use TS Gold in your classroom or district, this is still a great assessment tool to use. I administer this assessment at the beginning of the year, in the middle of the year (typically December or January), and at the end of the year. In order to have the cute font version of this assessment, you will need to purchase/download the PB Books and Coffee font from PB Fonts on Teacher

Base Ten Block Mats (Numbers 0-99)

An interactive math activity to teach place value (specifically ones and tens). Base ten blocks are needed. Easy prep and independent activity! Two mats per page. Cut along the center line and laminate. That's it! Please let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy!

Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centered and rooted in special education best practices, focusing on meeting each child’s individual learning, behavioral, social, and emotional needs. I use differentiated instruction, positive behavior supports, hands-on learning experiences, and individualized accommodations to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. I prioritize building strong relationships, encouraging student independence, and promoting active engagement through structured routines, visual supports, collaborative activities, and individualized learning strategies. My approach emphasizes patience, consistency, and flexibility to ensure all students can access instruction, develop confidence, and achieve meaningful growth at their own pace.
