Persuasive Techniques

I strongly recommend you buy the powerpoint if you buy the worksheet! Teach students the following persuasive techniques: Bandwagon Emotional Testimonial Faulty Reasoning repetition (tested on STAAR) My students learned each technique with a video, they absolutely LOVED this lesson and could apply each technique after their guided notes to a court case we read before on the Michael Dunn trial. This lesson would be great on a day #2 of a persuasive unit, after introducing persuasive writing.

About the store

Experience

I am an experienced educator with 10+ years in classroom teaching, curriculum writing, coaching, and assessment writing and editing experience for English Language Arts and Reading and Emerging Bilinguals (ESL/ESOL).

Teaching style

I strive to give students and educators highly engaging lessons and guides that are easy to follow and increases in rigor as students progress through the lesson. I follow a gradual release model, which places the burden of learning onto students at the middle and end of the lesson cycle--after they've had enough support to master the concepts.
