This project is based off Realidades Unit 5A. Students are required to use the conditional tense and career vocabulary to talk about the job of their dreams. Students will go through an "interview" process in which they are required to read, write, speak and listen in Spanish. Included in this 10-page project packet is a brainstorm page, an application in Spanish, a resume requirement and a cover letter requirement. This project is a fun way to assess your students commands and cooking vocabulary skills! They will be asked to create an eye-catching recipe page for your class cookbook, then they will record themselves actually making the dish! In their video, they will be telling you the directions for the recipe in Spanish as they cook. If possible, you can also have your students bring their dishes in to share with the class! This is a mini-project or in-class activity that will allow your students to explore different styles of Latino/ Hispanic music and dance. As they explore the different videos and songs, they will follow along with the questions in Spanish and answer them in full sentences. These sentences are aimed at helping them practice the preterite tense. This worksheet and activity will take about 40 minutes to complete. Worksheet is linked inside powerpoint.

For this project, students have the option to focus on music or art depending on their individual interests. For art, they will be making a recreation of La Guernica using their childhood as inspiration. Then, they will use the present, preterite and imperfect tenses to describe their artwork. This Spanish Diagnostic is a 100 point exam that includes questions from Spanish I, II, III and IV (Realidades Textbook). The majority of questions are multiple choice. It begins with two listening prompts, one beginner and one intermediate. Students are then asked to recall vocabulary, conjugations and different tenses in the multiple choice. Autobiography writing assignment for Spanish II and III students to practice writing about themselves.
