This project covers many essential topics of Algebra 1. Students will develop a greater understanding of linear equations, two-way tables, proportions, rate of change, graphing, slope, y-intercept, solving for y, solving equations, finding profit, calculating revenue and expenses, calculating area and cost per square foot, solving word problems, and proportions. These topics are all covered with different worksheets so that you can pick and choose what topics you want to cover with your students
This is a group of four discovery activities for students. The first is focused on the parallel line theorem. The second is focused on non-parallel lines that create a triangle. The third is two sets of parallel lines that create a parallelogram. This discovery activity encourages the connection between the properties of parallelograms and the parallel line theorem. The fourth is focused on non-parallel lines that create a quadrilateral. These discovery activities have been really meaningful
