This is a group of four discovery activities for students. The first is focused on the parallel line theorem. The second is focused on non-parallel lines that create a triangle. The third is two sets of parallel lines that create a parallelogram. This discovery activity encourages the connection between the properties of parallelograms and the parallel line theorem. The fourth is focused on non-parallel lines that create a quadrilateral. These discovery activities have been really meaningful

I have taught Algebra 1A, Algebra 1B, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Problem Solving in New York State.

Teaching style

I am a fan of teaching students using engaging and challenging ways. My students and I enjoy using project based learning, activities, and games to understand difficult concepts. I recognize the importance of appealing presentations and challenging real world problems.

My own education history

I attended SUNY New Paltz for my undergraduate degree in Mathematics Education and received my Masters Degree from Hunter College.
