In this ten week unit, students learn about: How they can express themselves through movement and build their confidence to participate in dance activities. Students also learn to explore and develop awareness of the ways in which their bodies move in and through space and how time and rhythm, dynamics and relationships influence the quality of their movement. Includes images throughout to aid teaching of content.

In this unit the students will create pieces of art, which relate to the theme of Living Things. This unit will allow students to experiment in representing nature through various forms of artistic techniques. Students will have the opportunity to look closely at creatures in a microenvironment including a ladybird, spiders in their homes and creating a 3D wire sculpture of an insect that will based on previous sketches. A detailed and comprehensive ten week program that focuses on developing in students a commitment and an ability to act in ways that will keep themselves and others safe from harm.
