It is my desire to provide my students with a comprehensive daily math review that will challenge your kinders to think and grow mathematically while aligning with CCSS. Daily review of skills helps students to retain the concepts taught. I have found that even if I haven’t covered a topic yet, it doesn’t hurt to introduce using the daily math. You will be surprised what your students will retain. To use the slides, you will begin each day with the 100 chart. I have made many of the activi

Can your little ones hold up 10 fingers? How about 8? or 6? Can they count using fingers? Mine couldn't. When students needed to add and or subtract using fingers as CCSS requires, it was total meltdown for so many, due to the simple fact, they did not have an automatic number sense of which fingers made which numbers. That is what inspired me to create these finger posters that would help my students become automatic in finger number sense. These posters are great for focus walls, f

I have had great numerical recognition since I have started using my flash cards during my daily routine. My students get excited when they can call out numbers first. We have used these to play several games. Some of these are… “Around the World”, “I Have… Who Has??” “BANG” Possibilities are endless. I usually just copy these onto heavy card stock and I use them all year. My assistant has her own copy for small table groups. These have saved our lives during intervention time as well.

I use this center during my back to school color word unit as we read Brown Bear, Brown Bear. In this station, students will read the sentence and place the correct number of counter bears of the correct color onto the ten frame. Just in case you do NOT have counter bears, as I did not in my classroom, I have included 20 counter bears of each red, blue, yellow, green, brown, black, pink, white, orange, and purple you may also run and laminate for extended use. I hope you enjoy! and thanks

I use this template as a daily meeting for my kinders. It is open ended and allows for teachers to differentiate with students. It is common core aligned. Practice includes: * Today is (day) (month) and (date by the week) by coloring in the date. * Problem of the day ( where teachers may give students an addition/subtraction scenario allowing students to draw a picture as well as write a number sentence. * Counting Pattern ( which allows the students to count up or back from a given number.

Today's Number Meeting just got better. You will simply need to run each student a copy (front to back) laminate it, give them a dry erase marker and allow them to follow along with me as I use the same copy projected to the board. This pack contains 2 sets. The first set is used for teaching numbers to 10. The next set is teaching numbers to 20. On the back students may get in a quick practice of handwriting by tracing and then rewrite the sentence on their own. NOTE: This sentence contain
