Ready Resources

This packet is an easy to follow guide for learning all 50 states and their locations. Students will learn 3-5 states per week; building as they go until they are proficient with all of the states. Included are study guides, practice pages, and quizzes for each week. The process takes 15 weeks and all materials are included. In class, the instructor should review the states for the week quickly at the beginning or ending of class and include the study guide and practice pages for homework.

This is a tab book that includes tally tables, frequency charts, data collection, all of the graphs, and a glossary. This is a great project for introducing a graphing unit or complete the booklet in sections as you teach each graph. The book gives an example and explanation of each graph. This set of 40 bookmarks asks students to identify grammatical concepts in the text they are reading. When they locate the answer they record it on a sticky note and attach it to the bookmark. Easily differentiate instruction, as these cards range from rhyming words to complex sentences. This activity helps to keep students accountable while they are reading. Unit includes vocabulary words and activity, open ended essay questions arranged by chapter, fact and opinion activity, character trait activity, and story test. Students are urged to base their answers on evidence from the story, make personal connections to the text, and form their own opinions separate from the author. The book is rated as: 3.6 grade level, 370 Lexile, and 24 DRA.
