This is a Valentine's Day Conversation Heart math activity for upper grades. Students are given a box or bag of conversation hearts. They will then do activities that involve: estimating counting sorting comparing with less than, greater than, or equal to addition multiplication fractions division tally chart pictograph bar graph This activity can be taught whole group, in partners, or as a center. Students will love having fun as they do math!

This is a fun St. Patrick's Day activity in which students design a cookie they'd like to eat. To do this, students choose from toppings such as: vanilla or chocolate frosting, mini chocolate or white chocolate chips, M&Ms or sprinkles. Each toppping costs a given amount of money. Students must pick the toppings that they prefer, then add to find the total of all the toppings. The object is to get as close to $1.00 as possible. After the students design their cookie and have their work check
